Features
- Sourced only|Never invents——Every key claim cites its source (Source 1, section/page). Uncertain page numbers are marked as not stated — quotes and data are never invented.
- One screenshot|Still works——Phone photos of book pages and lecture slides all count as sources. OCR first, then read; thin material gets thin conclusions, no padding.
- Four formats|Take them home——Cited briefing, study guide plus quiz, pitch deck, vertical infographic. Briefings and decks arrive as genuinely editable files — download and revise.
- Plain words|Ready to share——English papers explained in plain Chinese; pitch decks lead with the conclusion and read in 5 minutes, with a source behind every claim.
How it works
- Upload sources|Screenshots OK PDFs, Word docs, slides, screenshots and photos all count. One source is enough; two can be read against each other. Links and long text go straight into the input box.
- Pick a deliverable|Four choices Tap a preset or write your own: briefing, study guide, pitch deck or infographic — then quick overview or deep dive.
- Take files|Download and edit The agent reads everything, then delivers: full text in the reply plus downloadable .docx, .pptx or infographic, every claim cited.
FAQ
- Can it make a NotebookLM-style podcast?
- No. This tool generates no podcast audio — Loomi has no audio model. What you get is the written equivalent from the same sources: a cited briefing, study guide, slide deck or infographic, all downloadable. If you specifically want the two-host podcast, NotebookLM's official free tier does that (quotas per Google).
- I only have one screenshot. Does that work?
- Yes. Upload the screenshot as Source 1 and the agent OCRs it first, then tells you in one line what the image shows. Fair warning: a single image carries little information, so conclusions stay strictly within what is visible — uncertain points are marked as not stated in the sources, never invented. For complex charts, paste a paragraph of context along with it.
- Did NotebookLM become Gemini Notebook?
- Yes. Google renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook in July 2026; the features carry over (sources, citations, briefings, slides, infographics). Search either name and you land here — usage is identical.
- Is it free? How many credits?
- This tool bills by Loomi credits — one research task costs about 25 credits. NotebookLM's official site has a free tier; source limits and quotas follow Google's official policy.
- How is it different from NotebookLM?
- Same starting point — your sources. Different finish line: NotebookLM mostly lives in its own app, while this delivers files you take away — a genuinely editable .docx briefing and .pptx deck, every key claim cited to its source. Upload, read, hand in.
- Does it handle Chinese sources and output?
- Yes. Upload an English paper and get a Chinese explainer-style briefing back; names and places keep their English originals alongside the text, and terminology stays consistent throughout.
