Features
- Country size in one tap——US 2×2, China 33×48 and Europe / UK / Japan 35×45 — five presets that crop to each country's ratio once selected.
- Truly clean background——Pure white, light grey, light blue and red seamless backdrops with no texture or shadow. US visas require pure white — pick wrong and you will be asked to switch back.
- Tee to suit——A dark suit or white shirt replaces the tee automatically, with natural collar and shoulder lines. Baby photos keep their original clothes.
- Natural hair edges——Hair-strand-level edge transitions with no halo and no jaggies. Zoom to 200% and inspect before submitting.
- Digital + print bundle——A high-resolution single for online forms plus a 4×6 print sheet for the lab — both delivered in one run.
- Do it on your phone——The whole flow works on a phone: upload, pick a spec, download and print. No photo studio trip needed.
How it works
- Upload one front-facing photo A selfie or everyday photo from your phone works — messy backgrounds and T-shirts are fine. Mention glasses glare or a baby photo in the notes box.
- Pick country size & background Choose the size for your destination country, then set the background and outfit. US visas require pure white — pick wrong and you will be asked to switch back.
- Take digital file + print sheet Use the single high-resolution file for online forms and take the 4×6 sheet to print. Zoom in once and run through the self-check list before submitting.
FAQ
- Can I make a compliant passport photo from just one selfie?
- Yes — that is exactly what this tool is for: upload the selfie, pick your country spec, and the background, framing and crop are normalized automatically. The source photo should at least be front-facing with both eyes visible and nothing covering the face. Heavy profile angles, sunglasses, masks or blurry faces should be re-shot following the re-shoot guide — forcing those will not pass either.
- Will changing to a white background alter how I look?
- No. Only cleanup-level retouching is applied: removing background clutter, evening out light and reducing noise. Slimming, skin smoothing, beautifying and any change to your features are forbidden. ID photos must pass biometric checks, so the face has to stay strictly identical to the original — if it does not look like you, re-run it.
- What if the hair edges look fake?
- Edges are processed at hair-strand level with a feathered transition — no white halo, no jagged pixels. Zoom to 200% after generating and scan around the ears and shoulders; re-run if you see a glow. If you have lots of curls or flyaways, tuck your hair behind your ears when shooting.
- If the tool says compliant, will it definitely pass?
- Not necessarily, and no tool should ever promise a pass. We build to the commonly published US State Department and ICAO specs and attach a self-check list: right size, pure background, head height at 50%–69%, about 10% headroom, eyes level. Compare against the official sample before submitting — when in doubt, re-run from the original or visit a photo studio.
- Do glasses glare and baby passport photos work?
- Yes, with conditions: a baby photo taken while held by an adult works — only the baby's front-facing portrait is kept and adult hands are removed. Light glasses glare can be fixed, but please re-shoot without glasses if reflections are heavy or frames cover the eyes. Add a note in the input box for either case.
- How do I download and print the 4x6 print sheet?
- You get two files every time: a single high-resolution image for online applications, and a 4×6 sheet to print at 100% size in a convenience store or photo lab. Cost follows the credit balance shown in your Loomi account — we do not promise any separate free quota.
- How can I tell if an ID photo is over-edited?
- Zoom in and check three things: whether pupil highlights match, whether ears and teeth look deformed, and whether the skin has zero pores while clothes stay wrinkled. Our photos keep your original skin tone and marks like moles — if anything looks smoothed over, re-run it.
