Features
- Evidence down to the page——Each key conclusion cites its section, page, or figure plus one short original quote — verifiable line by line.
- Three-way honesty labels——The report visibly separates stated-in-original, model inference, and not-stated. Unknowns stay unknown.
- Chinese for English papers——Simplified Chinese by default; English terms kept in parentheses so you can match them back.
- One photo page works——Only have a phone photo of one page? It explains that page first, flags blurry lines as unreadable.
- Three depths, one click——Five-minute overview by default; switch to standard breakdown or section-by-section deep read.

- Get the structured report Basics, question, methods, findings, limits, glossary — plus argument map, templates, or audit. Download as Word.
FAQ
- Can it analyze a single photo page?
- Yes. If you only want one passage, formula, or figure explained, attach a clear photo of that page and the report opens a dedicated 'explaining the attached page' section. But a photo can only support claims about what's visible in it — for the full argument, methods review, or citation checks, upload the complete text-readable PDF.
- Will the AI analysis make things up?
- That is exactly the anxiety this tool is built around. Every key conclusion carries a section or page pointer plus a short original quote, and the report separates 'stated in the original / my inference / not stated in the paper'. Numbers, sample sizes, and causal wording are checked against the text — and missing information is labeled unknown, never fabricated.
- What should I ask it the first time?
- Don't just ask 'summarize this paper'. Ask for the structure: research question and gap, methods and data, the three most important findings with evidence pointers, and the limitations — each with page or section numbers. The four presets above already phrase it this way; one click fills in a question that actually works.
- Can it explain English papers in Chinese?
- Yes — Chinese explanation is the default. English terms keep their original in parentheses on first use, long sentences are rewritten as short causal chains, and quotes stay in the original language so you can match everything back. English and bilingual outputs are one click away.
- How is it different from chat-with-PDF tools?
- Chat tools answer whatever you ask; this tool also produces a complete structured teardown: basics, research question, methods, findings, limitations, glossary — plus, depending on your goal, an argument map, a reusable writing-pattern library, or a reviewer-style critical audit. Reports can be downloaded as editable Word files.
- Can it write my paper or beat detectors?
- No. It will not ghostwrite, expand, paraphrase-to-evade-detection, or beat AI detectors for you — those cross academic-integrity lines. What it will do is take apart the paper's argument and sentence patterns so you can write it yourself, including an outline.
- Is it free, and where do my files go?
- You use it inside Loomi: uploading and analyzing costs credits (this tool runs about 20 credits per analysis), and you can ask follow-ups in the same session. One caution from every campus guide: don't upload unpublished manuscripts anywhere without checking your venue's confidentiality rules first.
